...I GOT MY THIRD GOLD TODAY!!!
Returned to the same '20s era park that I hunted briefly yesterday....park itself is clean as a whistle, yielding less than a buck in clad (rumor has that its been heavily hunted for a long time). Barely was able to hit the tl yesterday, due to too many kids playing. Returned at oh-dark-thirty this a.m. determined to cover the lot in its entirety, no matter what. This particular tl is HUGE (I'd even venture to say it's one of the largest tls on the entire north side of the city), with a giant wooden castle-like play structure at its center w/ lots of nooks, crannies, and passageways. Yours truly hit it hard and in earnest, even going so far as to crawl on my hands and knees under the equipment, making darn sure I didn't miss a single coin. I was rewarded for my thorough efforts by finding a nice 10k ring just under the woodchips near the back set of swings (this particular tl has two sets of swings, one near the front and the other near the back). The ring is from Mexico (stamped 10kmex), so I'm pretty sure the stones are fake. Still, it's gold, and my third of the year!! Other notables from todays super tl adventure include a toy car, Chuck E. Cheese token, '84 Canadian cent, teeny tiny key, clipped, numbered tag (tree tag maybe?), and some misc. kiddie bling. Clad totaled $7.48 (10 quarters, 37 dimes, 12 nickels, and 68 cents (67 copper and 1 zinc)), for a grand total of 127 coins dug today (excluding the '84 Canadian cent). Pics below. Enjoy!!
