Current: Equinox 800, Makro Gold Racer, Fisher CZ-20, various Tesoro's
Primary Interest:
All Treasure Hunting
I will be visiting my son and his family for one week at Christmas. 3 kids under 5 so I'll be looking for a little free time, maybe swing my detector.

Is the ground typically frozen that time of year? I don't need to lug my detector with me if it is.

Are there any city or county prohibited areas?

He's at Sheppard AFB so I'm going to check the rules on base too.

No, average daily high 52 to 59, it could easily be really nice or pretty cold, depending on if a norther comes thru. I would say bring it.

That's good news, thank you!

Ground wont be frozen but bring a sturdy digging tool. We have been pretty dry here in Texas the last few years and the ground can be like concrete in some places.

Hope you enjoy your visit to W. F. We spoke on the phone a week ago. Call me if you get the time to get out. I will join you if I can.

Woke up to snow this morning so it may be a day or two before I'll be doing any detecting.

Thanks for the offer, I have your number and I will call you if I get out.
