Wierd brass hooky thing.

What is this wierd brass hooky thing? I found it metal detecting in front of an 1870s house. How old is it? I think it could have gone to anything. Found it close to where I found 1800s early very early 1900s stuff.

It's part of some sort of decorative piece, could be off a fancy lamp maybe.

Could have broken off anything from a trivet to a chandelier.

you also stated it was brass in the description . I think most of us agree it came off of some type of brass hook device.
