it's a granite or igneous rock that's been weathered, what kind I would need better photos. You can see that it cooled slowly because of the larger crystals (minerals).

Also looks like it might have been under some pressure (metamorphic changes(the banding in the quartz looks wavy))

Ha! Ha! So funny! I hate it when my tablet auto corrects and puts in a totally different word, too! Oh, and what happened to the " I comes before e except after c" rule on this word? No wonder I got bad grades in English! Lol!

I apologize for the rude comments you received. That's not the kind of behavior that's supposed to take place on here. It seems to be happening a lot lately.

There is a thread where someone requests you post your photos of rocks and he/she will identify them. Unfortunately, I get lost with all the different forums, subforums, and threads, so I don't know where to direct you at this time.

As for your weird rock, I love it! I would find a special place in my rock garden for that one! Thanks for sharing it!

Well I have to laugh at it, because it happens a lot. One of the first times I used talk text, I was driving. My son ended up calling back and asking if I read what I just text him. I said, " No. I'm driving. That's why I used talk text." He was laughing his butt off. He told me I had to pull over and read it. I did. It was so sexually explicit! Not even close to what I wanted. Got to laugh!

It's weird how the word "weird" just happens to be one of the few exceptions to that rule which makes it all the more weird.

I found this a weird find for a farm.



Don't remember exactly where I found it, but if it was my creek by the drive, I figured out just last week that someone must have dumped their aquarium. So that's probably where it came from.
