Wife says NO to me buying a MD for trip to Panama City Beach, BUT.....

Either you guys are all single (after reading all the posts makes sense) or don't value your marriage very much. I have always been the main bread winner in my family but I never put metal detecting before my family. My wife and I always discussed big ticket items and unless we both agreed we didn't purchase. You don't know this guys situation and perhaps getting a new detector might stretch the budget too thin. Lay off already.

No, it's my track record for making "questionable" purchases. I have quite an inventory of expensive toys, I mean power tools, that I've only used once or not at all. These were just things I had to have because I may need them someday. Thus, the Mrs. is most concerned that after our week at the beach, the MD will get relegated to the tool shed with all the other orphans.

OK, that cinches it. WWVA, buy and Excal 1000.

Please contact me 4 weeks after your vacation and I'll give you 700 bucks for it. (after all, it will be used, and if you throw in a good cordless drill I'll pay shipping)

Just a wild guess on my part but I think the author is taking the ribbing in the good natured spirit that it was intended as.

YES, I am! Y'all don't even come close to my warped sense of humor!

Oh yes we do. We're treasure hunters....LOL.

When I first started to detect my wife said I would never find gold rings. When I did ,she said I would never find diamonds. Now her fingers are full of both and she always go through my finds when I come home to see if there is more to put on her hands. I don,t care as long as she is happy. :D Mike.

i HAD a wife like that before, "key word" "HAD"

Don't have that problem now do you RJ. ;)

When I tell my wife I'm going hunting, she tells me have fun, be carful and to find her a nice ring, which by the way I did today.

I found a nice ladies small gold initial ring, she likes the pattern that the initials make so she is wearing it. The initials are in an Old English Scroll pattern so very hard to tell what the initals are anyway.
