The word is out. and the wildlife are hungry. It's not often that they all show up at once like this, and even less often that they all come up while I'm still standing there. But it was quite the experience. Here's some video, with just the natural audio. Sorry I had to scold the dog once, but other than that it's just the natural sound of the moment.

Robert I am also liking your videos. That is so kind of you to feed them
I think a few hens have short beards also

Thanks. And I think they say that something like one in ten hens may have a beard? My son in law is an avid hunter (just not here) and he said he was pretty sure some of the beards were on hens as well.

Very nice video. You've got a great spot there.
You may be called on one day to build an ark. November 2028 or 2032 maybe.

Thanks!

Just call me Evan. :laughing7:

Can’t see the video without logging in to prove I’m not a bot
Whatever is doing that, it's YouTube, not me. I don't care if you're logged in there or not. (For that matter, what do I care if a viewer is a bot or not?). FWIW, if you're using a VPN, temporarily turning it off long enough to view it will probably solve it.

Based on the title the thread could have gone one of two ways. Was hoping for some good recipes.
I guess it is a bit ambiguous, isn't it? Sorry about that. The only recipes I have for turkey presume the domesticated kind.

Great video! Thanks for posting. It is so awesome!

That’s really awesome, very relaxing. But poor Oreo he was just out there trying to dog.
Oh, she's fine. My wife's dog -- a chihuahua that thinks she's ten feet tall. :laughing7:

The wildlife actually ignores the dogs most of the time. I guess they know the fence will stop them. But I didn't want the background audio to just be dogs barking -- once one of them start, the rest will join in. 😱

What are you feeding them? Cracked corn? We have turkeys pass through occasionally but they haven’t found my cracked corn.

Just plain whole corn. The turkeys also seem to like black oil sunflower seeds (shell and all).

This is a bit off topic, but since it came up here, I'll post it here...

I've suddenly been getting that on pretty much every embedded YouTube video the past week or so. To say that it is extremely annoying is an understatement -- especially since I get it even when I am logged in!

So I did some playing around with different browsers and settings and such, and at least for right now, I have it working again. I'm on a Mac using Safari, but I've tested other browsers and they all seem to be the same, so this fix should still apply. I have Apple's "private relay" on, as well as a VPN (I had the VPN before private relay existed). The only way Youtube would work was to turn off both of those. But... I played with the VPN settings, and the VPN protocol had been set to "automatic". I changed it to "OpenVPN (TCP)". and now YouTube works again, even if I'm signed out, and even with both the VPN and private relay turned on.

I realize that won't apply to everyone, but I hope it helps a bit.

I get the bot message too. Just went in settings on my iPhone and looked for vpn button. 🤷🏼🤔 Tech stuff is so frustrating for old guy like me. I just bought a dash cam for my truck. I’m taking it to the pros for mounting. Then I’ll try and figure out how to work it. I wish I had a 12 yr old kid that could teach me. 😜

On iPhone it's called "Private Relay" and it's under your iCloud settings in the settings app. (Click on your own picture or name in settings, then iCloud, then Private Relay).

Thanks for the help. I clicked on iCloud but there is no “private relay” setting in my phone. This is so typical of my experiences with tech. It just keeps taking you in circles. I can’t be bothered with this stuff.
