fox and marmot.jpg

Found this on BBC. Yongquing Bao, of China, won the Wildlife Photographer of the Year award for capturing the battle between a young marmot and a fox on the Quinghai-Tibet Plateau. Despite mother's help, the young rodent became supper.

Such a great photo.

Some of our neighbors found it amusing too - she was still in pj's chasing and yelling at this deer until she noticed.

I see coyotes, raccoons, and skunks.

Skunks are in no hurry to run off, coyotes and raccoons don't hang around.

I haven't seen a skunk here in South Carolina. They may reside in the upstate. Spent much of my life in Western Washington, saw and smelled them all the time. Ran over one with my car at night, tangled with a couple as a kid. Powerful stink!
