What does the base look like? Does it have a cavity?

No there is no cavity that i can see.

I don't think its one of the cleaner types, a type 1 looks the closest but I would think its a carbine variant of some sort. The distortion from firing makes it hard to ID.

Looks like a 58 caliber Sharps variant but the shape just doesn't look right. Try this site: 19th Century Bullet Collection - Tom Henrique Just hit any of the search buttons without adding any more information and it will take you to a list of all the bullets.
