Made it out today for the first time this month and happy I did. Hit a Park in a small town near me hoping to pull a silver dime or two. First find was a 1916 wheat cent so I concentrated on a small area hoping to pull a few more oldies. Found a small coin which at first glance had me thinking it was a 3 cent nickel. It wasn't to be but a small 10 cent coin from the Netherlands, but still a nice find here! Found some surface clad and a couple more wheats(can't find one) and even pulled a 1901 Indian and a nice little 1923 Merc. The best find was my oldest Chauffeurs license. It is a 1913 Indiana license in decent shape, and in the hole was the back as well, so a fitting end to a sunny cold afternoon of dirt digging!!

Very nice finds. I wonder if there's any way to find out who that license was issued to? Congrats and thanks for sharing.

I was wondering about that myself. I'm pretty sure I should be able to with a little research!

Nice finds,

The licence is a nice relic.

Nice finds, those little parks are always good for a find or two if you search hard enough.

Oldest I've ever found by 20 years. I did see a NY 1912 badge once but The others I found were all in the mid-30's!

Love the 1913 Chauffeurs badge! That badge is too cool!

Thanks!! Hey, I found gold ring #53 today so I'm almost in Crackbadger territority this year!! I think if you add up the last five years I don't have this many gold items combined adding to 53.

That's a very early chauffeurs license....ought to be worth some bucks as people collect those things!
Nice Finds!! Dale
