EBay..is another problem for our hobby. I personally would like them to cease the sale of artifacts...and fakes which it's full of. They certainly don't differentiate between legally and illegally obtained Relics.

word....another problem is the mix that a single seller has too....some obvious repros, others legit.
 

Post contact could mean made yesterday. I think this is a Bill Jackson store front.
 

A lot of the best Columbia River points were made post contact...specifically for trade with missionaries, doctors, collectors, etc. Many were made 100 plus years ago, but still made with collection in mind. I have been told that this was due to the fact that this area was settled later, when the idea that Indians and their culture were vanishing. Edward Sheriff Curtis comes to mind.
 

That is a modern reproduction. Just an older one in that case.
 

I make those and give them to my sons friends for free. Haha.
