There are in fact two varieties of defect, both involving an extra leaf on the corn stalk.
 

Essentially, an extra leaf appears on the coins. (Not a double die.) There are two different versions; one extra leaf is lower than the other extra leaf and there is only one extra leaf per error coin (if my memory serves me).

There was speculation that a mint employee carved the extra leaves in a couple of hubs to create the error.

Thanks everyone for the info. Now I can raid my piggy bank and take a look at what I have.
 

Also these "errors" were only on the Denver mint coins and have been found mainly in the SW.
