looks like what you have is conglomerate rock, which is solidified gravels, the only way this would contain gold is if the gravels were from a ancient gold bearing stream, possible ,but unlikely. take note of all the different little pebbles locked up in it. crush it and find out.

First 2 pics look promising - 3rd pic agree with loco oro -probably conglomerate. Regardless, crush em, pan em.

It's mostly white quarts some black quarts this area is high above a creek I own the land right by house is a spring one of many interesting thing is one spring has crayfish and Minos it's weird the frogs and salamanders are still going strong in it with this bitter cold that grabbed pa.

what part of pa you in?

there was some gold found in bradford county, not real far from you that was found recently, and what i saw was a good take for pa! it was small, but a fair amount, glacial, and it will be spotty, some streams in the glacial regions appear barren, but presistance is what pays.glacial gold is spotty,so learn, and look for those spots, spots that will trap the gold but yet hold on to it durning annual high water, and small flood events, glacial is small,so much easier to move,so really only very agressive traps will hold onto it,i.e large boulders, boulder fields, deep/large cobble.prospecting in pa,can be tricky, but once you find it a few times ,you will see what i mean ,by (spotty),only certian spots hang onto it.best of luck to you!

Looks like mica. Move the rock around in your hand under a good light. Do the specks always looks the same or do they sparkle and flash? Flash = mica. gold looks the same from all angles.
