What is the depth of detection?

Doesn't look very ergonomic. Also, it looks like those knobs are just waiting to be bumped or broken off. I'd like to hear some feedback though.

I've got several I picked up used over the years. IMHO they were one of, if not the best handheld compared to Whites, Merlin, and several others I had the opportunity to test, until the Garrett Propointer came out. Similar depth, but can be a bit quirky to tune. They will sound off on small gold pickers that won't wake up any other pinpointer I've tried, but it must be close. Good depth on larger targets, however. They have an internal switch that can be set for tone or vibration and are warranted and serviced by Tesoro. Had one switch break internally and Tesoro replaced it at no charge while I waited when visiting there.
