Wood Ducks

It was such a nice day that I just had to go to the Lewiston,Idaho levee ponds to photograph these wood ducks. Temperatures in the 70's!
Aren't they pretty?

Very nice-looking birds. We have a few that hang around the marshy pond at the back of my property. I built a couple houses and they still use them. These and mallards are my favorite ducks. I don't hunt ducks though, just never really got into it. I save all of my sitting still, being quiet, and freezing for deer season!
