The boys came home to help dad split the winter wood supply. A big help for sure.

I've had two trees blown down in thunderstorms this summer, so I've got plenty of wood. :o

I'm cutting cuban mahogany saw logs....TREASURE !!

Making slabs, and dimensional lumber too. From tree 🌳 to table !! We are the "Flip flop loggers".

I am embarrassed to say that I never thought of using a T post to steady the end of the wood stack like that. Does that work pretty well?

Yes Robert, the t-posts work pretty good if they're driven into solid ground. I actually prefer not to use them, criss/crossing the ends and ocationally throughout the row. Getting a little lazy in my, um, age. 🤔

Here's an interesting tool I found while surveying an old logging site years ago. It's an old peeve for rolling logs. I've cobbled up a bamboo handle from a stand growing at our place. I really don't care for how long the pointed end is.
