Hit up the Field That Never Fails today. It was like walking through a big bowl of mashed potatoes.
I found a few broken points... A possible perforator... a broken drill... A nice pottery shard... a reworked scraper..A little arrow point.... and an point that's had a few miles on it... And then... Drum roll please!!!!!!!!!! Dun da da dun!

My 23rd personal axe find all from the field that never fails.!!!!!!! Wooot That's one for every year i've been alive. There are a few plow scars on it but all in all it's in pretty good condition. 3/4 Groove.

Thanks for the look!

Actually we've pulled over 50 out of that same field... I've found 23 of them.

Really nice finds.

Afternoon,

Have you given any thought as to why there would be so many axes concentrated in a relatively small area? Axes are rather labor intensive to make. I wonder what they were using them for....any ideas?? Here the things are so rare I was told if I found one every 20 years I was doing good....I am really envious.... :D

HH,

Hmm... I really can't fathom why there would be that many axes in that small of an area. The very in size tremendously. From small toy axes to the monster 14lb one my little brother found (Bottom of the picture). Here are most of the ones I have found. They are all personal finds except the Giant one. These do not include the axes found by my grandfather and my uncle. If anyone has any idea's as to why there are so many in this small of a vicinity Please let me know!

Thanks

Stevenx

Wow is an understatement- what a collection of just axes even! I'm jelous, I have found very very little groundstone at all in 20+ years of hunting. They are all nice but several of them appear to be real beauties- you are one lucky dude, glad you share them with us here-
