Had to drop my daughter off at a youth group function at 6:30 tonight so I figured I would go hit an old house that I just go permission to dig at.
Right away I was digging pieces of aluminum siding. About 15 minutes into the hunt I get a sweet silver hit. Next thing I realize is the coin is in the plug and I had to go back to the roots to pop it out. Less that 2" deep was a nice 1908 O Barber dime! SWEET!!!
about ten minutes later I dig a neat good for 5 cents trade token. Then a 1903 Indian head, then a 1919 wheat, Then a very cool Watch Fob. Silver plated Potato fob for Iron Age Potato Machinery. "May 7, 07" I love this Fob as we don't see them very often up here. I also got a 1954 play nickel. A few odds and ends, one clad dime and nickel, and many trash items. I will return to this house!
Pics are not the best, I was in a hurry because my battery was dying!
Also see this mornings sunrise!

That fob IS cool!! Congrats on the "O" mint mark Barber too. Nice digs.

Awesome bunch of finds Mike  big congrats on that sweet ole barber, she's in beautiful shape! I like that fob and you're right about not finding a whole lot of them but every once in a while one will pop out.

Smashing hunt Mike! Sweet Barber, IH, and token. But that potato fob is, dare I say, adorable? :)

HH
p.s. Beauty of a sunrise. :hello2:

Cool stuff. I love the potato fob. Is the rectangular piece of metal, kind of in the top center of the first picture, made of brass? If so does it have any hooks or solder marks anywhere? It looks like a militia type buckle or shoulder plate called a clip corner or a buckle that may have had a unit designation on the front. If it's brass it has a chance.
