Found an old World War 2 metal a few weeks ago metal detecting in what use to be a orchard years ago.
All service men enlisted from Dec. 7th 1941 - Dec. 31st. 1946 received this metal.

Pretty cool....

I found one about two months ago, that wasn't as good of condition. The goddess (can't remember which) is holding a broken sword and Mars the god of war is under her foot. Obviously this symbolizes that the war is over.
 

That's a ww2 victory medal. I love old medals compared to the crap we get these days, built to last.
I have a few ww2 (16) medals as well..good job

Nice Medal. My buddy found a WW2 medal last week also. Medals always make for interesting finds. There's some personal history behind them. Congrats!
