The red, white & blue patch is World War II Army Service Forces.

The chevron rank insignia is Technical Sergeant, 2nd Grade.

A service stripe represents three years' service.

The short gold stripes/bars are Overseas Service bars. Each bar represents six months' service in a theater of operations.

Top ribbon, left: Good Conduct Medal; right: Victory Medal, WWII.

Bottom ribbon, left: American Campaign Medal; middle: Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal; right: Philippine Liberation Medal.

Each gold star on a ribbon means that the individual received an additional decoration of the same kind.

A silver star equals five gold stars.

If those uniforms were in the aunts house...were they your uncles? You would think that someone in the family would want them, along with any war photos, etc that might have gone with them. A great piece of history there.

:( :( Gypsy: The sad fact is many people are not Sentimental. To them, It's just junk lying around. they have no sense of History, or Nostalgia. They don't understand what the wearer of that uniform went thru. That's just old history to them.

That's good for us, though. Without people like that, Garage Sales & Trash Day Finds would not be there!
