Just a LITTLE bit out of my price range. There are over 1,400 of them unaccounted for? Another reason to dig those aluminum can targets!

The real reason they stopped making them in 1804 was the fact that the value of the silver in the coin had exceeded the face value and the coins were getting melted as fast as they made them. This was also the case for gold coins dated 1795-1804. They stopped making the $10 gold eagle at the same time. Gary
