Worn 20 Cent piece

I got out on my land this morning and detected before the Christmas festivities begin. Rewarded with a nice, but worn 1875 Twenty Cent piece.

You have a better brighter pic of the reverse? I’m not doubting it’s what you say, but to find one of those is SO rare it’s almost impossible. That’s right up there with finding a double eagle in the wild. If there was one ON YOUR PROPERTY...you’d better be searching your property...ALOT!!! To find one in your first few months of detecting??....well...how about that pic? I’d love to see it because it is SO rare! I can guarantee I’ll never find one and don’t expect to.

Excellent find with a detector. I have also found an 1875, but not while detecting. I actually found it in an old farmhouse that I had permission to be in. It was slated to be torn down, so I went exploring and found it underneath some loose floorboards. There was a Half Dime along with it.

Wow, what a great score! I just checked the 2020 "Red Book" of coin values, even at G-4 condition it is listed a $235 dollars (assuming no mint mark).
