Picked out of a bin at the coin shop. Due to all the wear I wondered if it could be silver.
I thought I saw someone else post the same coin a while back.
It's .893 Dia. and .040 thick...

Re: Worn coin

Im not positive, but it looks like one of the WWII Italian coins my Dad brought back from Anzio. We used to play with them as kids. I think its nickel. Italian WWII Centesimo.webpItalian WWII coin.webp

Re: Worn coin

one of the often over looked coins in the bin is **arabic silver coins -- which can often be found in american coin dealers bargin bins (10 for a buck) -- with a bit of study ---you can tell the silver coins from the nickle ones -- by learning to read the dates in arabic (not nearly as hard as it sounds) and by knowing which countries made silver coins and during what years you can "cherry pick" them for 10 cents or so --good silver coins dirt cheap. -- even better than CRH ing cost vs profeit wise. -- Ivan
