worse beach season yet

South Florida east coast ocean beach continues to be the worse MD seasons I have experienced yet.
From Delray Beach north thru the palm beaches, nothing, nada, zilch

I haven't been to the Delaware or Maryland beaches since I found the two knives whenever it was. I am watching for storms however.

i got friends in Ft.Laud. area and south doing ok
but they went to using PIs and going slow and deep
which many arent willing to do
I never know who to believe in Fla.
Ive had guys say it sucks and then I go down and kill it - sometimes
my friend will tell me they say it is sanded in so others wont want to go down
Ive done pretty good just about every trip ive gone down
but i do hunt in all metal and slow down and try and dig it all
Ive seen guys down there trying to hit all of SOBE in a few hours - knot the way to do it
and have seen guys with there disc. cranked - once again - not my way of doing things
at least 2 of my diamonds I can tell you guys went over - when they moved off the areas
I went in and pull lot of trash behind them but got goodies after i cleaned the trash out of the troughs
other golds were just down over a foot or more and believe guys were going too fast or in one case - guy had disc. really cranked
and missed it - there were holes around it - all around it and lot of trash he passed too

On the news they are reporting that rentals along the coast are quickly filling,,and if one wants to secure a place don’t wait..Hopefully this will make things better

I think they are referring to B&Bs and beach cottage rentals, hotels are still struggling bad.

Not here, hotels, B&Bs, VRBO are all packed. Disney resort is fully booked. Traffic crazier that usual before the ‘vid.

But that might mean lots of depositors!

American Hotel & Lodging Association is predicting 52.4% occupancy rate for 2021, well below 2019's average of 66%. Local beach detecting finds in central Florida are the worst in years. South Florida may be doing better, I always had better luck hunting South Florida than Central Florida although my best day was at Daytona Beach, 5 gold rings, 3 had diamonds.

We can always hope..

Same with me billb, I generally don't both with public places so I think I only got 2 karat gold items last year. Another one turned out to be junk.

Smokey Hi up here this year a lot of places limited capacity with also no utilities available at the beaches and to hunt on land our area is ground zero for ticks..that’s some combination..snow is in the forecast starting tomorrow..please stay safe out there and hope this season will be very rewarding for you
