I have a cheap Discovery 1100 (Bounty Hunter) machine that does a great job at telling me Meteorites are a high tone i.d. target.
I want to sell this miserable excuse for a detector, accept that it really is the only machine I own that does great at finding Meteorites (my others see them barely, or as junk).

I don't know much about Meteorites, but wonder more about how collectable they are (as much as fossils, or coins, for example). eBay seems like they are selling like a cheap commodity. The machine is worth about $70, so may be I should keep it only for this purpose? Opinions? :icon_scratch:

As recently as October, 2009 meteorites were selling for an average of $10,000/lb. I'd keep it. There are other ways of identifying meteorites. But this works for you.
