Hi everyone I was wondering if any of you have a 15" WOT coil on your Minelabs Excalibur and is this coil sensitive to coins, rings ect? How would it work for diving? I am curious because I heard that this coil can find quarters at 15-20" inches? Is that true? I might be leaning towards the Excalibur if I can get this depth on coins and rings. Right now I have a Surfmaster PI and the depth is good but can't seem to find a PI that can go deeper!! Plus if the Minelab can cancel out some of the small stuff then I might have more chances of finding gold? Well, hope to hear anyone that has the WOT coil on their Minelabs and tell me how you really like them!! Aloha ;D

I have 2 Sovereign GTs one is waterproofed and one is not, and they both have the WOT The best to date with the WOT is about 12 inches for me.

I personally love the WOT, I have no problem with it in the water as long as the surf isn't real rough, and then it isn't the coil that is the problem so much as it is me trying not to drown. ;).

I have a hunting partner who sent one of his Excals to Minelab to have new WOT and a new set of Grey Ghost waterproof headset he bought put on the Excal by Minelab. He also had them run through the controls and fix anything they found wrong. They charged him just a hair over $100 to do all the work. Not bad if you ask me.

I don't use the WOT as I use Tesoro and Fisher detectors for water hunting but I have a friend out in CA that says he wouldn't be caught dead without his WOT. Swears by it time and time again.
Good luck and HH
