Surface deposit of hematite or limonite. Probably not a lot to work with. Assays are first word on values though. Visual inspections are pretty much useless other than finding potential

Any gold found nearby? Host stone looks good, but there needs to be a history of good yella in the area or why bother?

There was a mine about three miles from here. Howie gold mine, Haile gold mine and countless others in the vacinity. All mostly fine gold though. Some pickers.
