WOW !!! a big surprise from Fisher

Sent my 1280x water machine back to Fisher for repairs. It was a mess, battery posts corroded to small nubs, wires to coil getting brittle, headphone wires uncoiled, no battery door, no gasket, cracked coil cover,etc. This machine was over 20 years old and had not been used in the last 5 years. It was out of warranty so I had to pay for repairs.
Well, I just got it back today and couldn't beleive it when I opened the box. Fisher had sent me a brand new machine !!! Guess that my other one was beyond repair so it was more practical to just replace it. Only $275.00 for a new detector !!!
