wow new bank fees!!! listen to this

called the bank today to order halves. teller says thetre will be a fee. i ask how much and she tells me $20 per box. i ask why is this because the same banks different branches order them with no problem. she gives me a song and a dance about how cetain banks have it worked into there budget. i tell her that if my bank is iin such fiancial straights that they have to charge 20 for a 500 box then the public should now about it. she tels me that fine and i hang up. can you believe that.

I'd get it in writing, and then tell the public.

Sounds like a scare tactic really.
I would say push the issue. Ask them to order you a few boxes and tell them your going to need a receipt for the boxes etc. Ask for it in writing and why. See if they are blowing smoke or not.
Its easy to say no or make excuses. most people dont push the issue, or wright letters or ask for anything that would have legal ramifications down the road.
