WOW!!

Congrats! I just got a Vaquero and a Silver uMax in the mail and I feel the same way! Do me a favor and perform an air test on a standard US clad quarter and post the results. My assumption is that you'll do better than what I did on depth. I'd just like to know how much better.

My results are at the bottom of this other thread:

I will do air test on it tonight. What did you get on your V? I also will do air test on my Vaquero and DeLeon to see what i get.

All the air test will do is prove the audio circuit is working and let you play with the VCO.

I disagree. If the numbers were much closer then I couldn't draw any real conclusions because air tests aren't conclusive. But an air test that is over twice what my BH gives me is proof enough to me that I'm going to get better depth. Maybe not twice the depth but better depth.

It isn't black and white. Saying that no air test is valuable is as bad as saying that all air tests are valuable. The truth is somewhere in between those two extremes. Don't be so quick to throw out all air tests. Take them with a grain of salt. But don't throw them out.
