Anyone have a functional and cool looking old thimble they dug out of the ground and would be interested in selling?
Have you found your thimble? or still looking. I have old ones.....even back to the 15th century. And tiny ones, used by young children back in those days....

I have or have had in my collection what I believed to be a Roman Thimble, found on a site in Spain,
After seeing this thread, I googled Roman Thimble thinking it would come up, it did not... Google says that there is no known thimbles used by the Romans and Thimbles did not start to appear until maybe 900 AD ?

Mine looks similar to this, but has dimples all over the entire piece, its big and could probably fit over the thumb, with a pointed top, not flat.. Must be 3-4 xs the size of a regular thimble.. :dontknow:
Any ideas ?
