WW II Family Treasure

Hi all,

For years my father and uncles have told the story of buried riches. When they were just kids, the Germans invaded Poland and while their family was leaving the country, their Father buried the family fortune on their farm. Since then borders have changed and I don't believe the farm is located in Poland anymore. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to begin ? Do you need permission from the current government ? Ect...........

Edgar we have a few members in Poland and from the finds I see them post I would say you can hunt just about anywhere. I'm sure that permission is needed for some areas as usual but I wouldnt tell any one what you are looking for. I would do my research and see if the boundary lines of your farm can be located regardless of what country they are in now.Pictures of the home could be worth more than you know to help in your research. I dunno, maybe you have a legal claim to the farm. If you don't know what country it's in now, start by finding out what the nearest town was, locate that town on an old map (pre 1939), and note the latitude and longitude. Look up those coordinates on a current map.
