Anything in it? It's a pretty cool pouch.... It would be parts for the French Model 1897 75mm known as the French 75. The US also had another 75mm based off the British 18 Pounder, so parts had to be labeled accordingly since parts from one would not work on the other. I haven't seen one of those pouches before, and a quick search didn't turn up any either. I would imagine that anyone who owns a French 75 would love to own that pouch to go along with it, and if it has anything left in it, that's a big bonus.

You might want to contact this guy... 75mm mle/1897 "French 75mm"

It most likely belongs to the M1897 Field Gun which was adopted and improved by the US Army from the French 75 modèle 1897 artillery cannon. This type of cannon was used until around the beginning of World War 2.
