Im also the UK and am hoping to do a bit of WWII relic hunting in france this summer with my fisher 1236x2. What areas would you reccomend visiting? I would particularly like to detect in forests/less populated areas that havent been heavily searched.

Thanks

Be careful if you dig up any unexploded ordnance! Boy, that could really ruin one's day.

What type of areas are you detecting? I would think most of the battle area's would be protected in some way. At least thats what they would do here in the states. hope you find some virgin ground , good luck and HH.

See now I'm disappointing... I was hoping for some WWII hunting this summer... until you pointed out that the post was old... but its only 12 years old... and since when is 2004 twelve years ago!!! OMG I'm getting old...

enamel7, I have to ask you in looking over your rolled coin list how it is you know you got a silver proof in a coin wrapper?
