WW2 vet info

A question for all of you expert researchers. I'm looking for a site where I can find info on a WW2 veteran such as, what units he served in, where he received his purple heart, etc. I don't have a SSN, just a name. If anyone can point me in the right direction that would be great. His name was Thurman Kelley he was from WV. I've also seen it spelled Therman.
