Had an interesting hunt. Found two of the most unique buckles I have found along with a lot of 18th century buttons. Then pulled out a great seal, bridal rosette in perfect condition. It appears to be WWI era but nothing else found was that new.

Colonial Finds:

Perfect Rosette:

Near that found what appears to be a broken hat badge but I am having trouble ID'ing it

Pretty cool to see what the great seal rosette looks like with the loop attached. I dug one without the loop in Louisiana in the late 90s.

The Spec Buckle in the centre picture I've never seen that design before. Might not be British...

The bottom piece is part of an 18th century brass side plate to a flintlock. The piece shows a motif known as a stand of arms. I see a flag and cannon on yours. One of my banners is this same motif in silver

Tremendous finds- hard to put that rosette into words- Congrats!!

Congratulations on your recovery

What a great set of finds. I love the buckles! They have some serious age to them!

Those early buckles and the decorated button look amazing, the WWI Horse rosette is a beautiful piece as well. :hello2:

Congrats on your finds,
Dave

Keith, I was with mbcuce, when he found the side plate, and we both kept saying that we had seen something like it, but couldn't remember where or what it was. Of course, we talked about your "silver musket" for about a week and looked at it 10 times. No wonder this thing seemed so familiar. Thanks for the ID.
