WWII dog tag help...........

Yesterday on Veteran's Day I aquired a 1942 Walking Liberty Half dollar that had been made into a military dog tag. Can anyone help with a web site so I can look up the military history of the soldier?
I have tried several sites but most are not helpful.

Used to address envelopes on the side for all branches of the military. Mostly old timers. I have a data base of sorts I could check. PM me the info and I'll give a look see if you wish.
