Bought a WWII era uniform at a yard sale the other day. Having trouble figuring out what all the patches and ribbons represent. I know it was worn by a staff sergeant, but what does the letter "T" represent on the patch? I also figured out that one is the 38th Infantry Division patch, but that's as far as I've gotten. Any help would be appreciated.

The T is for a Technical Sgt., described here: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_Army_enlisted_rank_insignia_of_World_War_II

The red/yellow bird patch is from the 45th infantry

The other yellow bird, as described here: https://store.nationalww2museum.org/ruptured-duck-patch.html

Ruptured Duck Patch
More formally called the Honorable Service Lapel Patch, the "Ruptured Duck" was given to those members of the U.S. military who were honorably discharged during WWII. The insignia was worn on the right chest of the uniform and was meant to identify the soldiers who had done their duty.
