"X" Marks the spot ??

Help! Help! :P
Does anyone have info on, or, have seen this Symbol before ?
It is among/on a Spanish Treasure Site (other signs/maps, etc.)!
It Means ?
It! Sure Doesn't show up in any of the Treasure Signs Books Does IT? :P
Any Ideas ?
There is another, smaller version, of it, just up the canyon from this ...
SO!
It is not! a natural feature!
Any Help?

cptbil, -------- X marks the spot! This is what I'd say try. To me it could make sence. ----------- Stand before the large X, take bearing or compus heading on the little x. You say its not that far off! Measure distance between them! Then take 10 times the distance on same heading. At end of distance check well for another mark? use M\D. If a large treasure buried there, could be out of range of locator. So probe, you may even hit a stone over site under ground. Look under it. Good luck. If any more marks found let us know.
