x-terra 30 or 50

I will be buying a new detector, probaly from kellyco. And not having any real experience i need some info? Is there a huge difference in the learning curve between the two? Is one easier to use for a beginner? And what about depth? I will be using around some of the many foundations i've found in the woods hunting? Mostly looking for old coins or relics? And finally are the deals there actually worth it? do i really need a second coil or is the standard coil that comes with it good enough? Thanks for any info. I have been reading here for some time and am very excited about getting out and seeing what i can find and show.

about a week ago i got my x-terra 50 from kellyco.. if you can go for it, definately get the 50 over the 30.. you will really like the features the 50 has over the 30, and will eventually prolly kick yourself for not going to it... adjustable ground balance is the main one.. 30 has fixed GB, 50 has adjustable

so far i love the x-50, great even on the saltwater beach i hunt, and i can even take the coil into the saltwater and find stuff....

For sure the X-Terra 50 is a lot more detector for the money and well worth it. As for the extra junk you'd get from Kellyco, I don't think it is worth it. The stock coil was chosen because it would be the best coil for the detector. The standard upgrade coil is a small sniper coil for working around junk easier.

Thanks for the tips, I was kinda leaning towards the fifty also. I will definitely give tc a call when i am ready to purchase.

i almost purchased from tony but his price is a 100 dollars higher than most. i didn't purchace from kco either. tony has a good store and stands behind, but i'm not paying an extra 100 bucks for it.
