It was one of those 35 degree, drizzle and 20 MPH wind afternoons. I went over to the early 1800 house were I found the 1788 Mass Copper the other day. Dug about the nicest large cent I have ever found. This one is an Extremely Fine 1837 Large cent. Very little pitting. Also came up with a crotal bell that had been broken and filled with lead??? Has the large letter B with a circle around it. Also a great brass thimble in perfect shape, a Bull Dog suspender snap, nice little button, some piece of silver from what appears to be a untensil of some kind and a couple of small door handles or drawer pulls. I didn't even mind being cold and wet. Thanks for looking...Lance
