It appears that most people treat the warranty as transferrable based on the used classifieds, but your best bet might be to call the XP Americas regional service center (where you would send the Deus for serivice anyway) and just ask them directly to see what they say just to be sure. The number is on the XP Metal Detectors Americas website. Nothing on that website confirms it yeah or nay.

The warranty follows the receipt from the initial purchase. If you buy used, be sure the seller gives you the original receipt.
