My coil and RC was paired when I bought it new. I purchased heaphones and pinpointer later.

Everything was paired and ready to go when I bought my new set up two years ago.

Probably depends a lot on the dealer. I know of some that will go so far as load their secret, custom programs on it if you buy it from them!

I bought a full Deus package 5 yrs. ago - everything was already paired and ready to hunt when I got it.
I'm not sure if the machine was paired at the factory or if the dealer I bought it from did it before he mailed it to me ?

Just ask your delaer to make sure they are paired before they ship.
Almost all will do that for you ... but ... it is a really simple thing to do.
You will need to learn how to set the program you want to use so read the manual and you will be good to go.

If you are anything like me you will want to start hunting as soon as you can get a charge on the battery.
I only read and learn the basics of a new detector for the first few hunts.
Ground balance ... program choice ... sensitivity ... headphone volume ... and things like that.
I learn the more refined stuff one or two at a time between hunts.
