Xpointer pro. 4 long beeps when I turn on.

It is not a low battery and I have a feeling I was near metal or heavy EMI interference. When I hold my pinpointed directly in front of metal it gives the 4 beeps when I turn on. Is it safe to say when I turn on the xpointer pro SOMETIMES it gives me the 4 long beeps and then goes into normal operation. Is that something I should be concerned about?
