Xterra shaft mod

I know a couple users have gone to using a straight shaft due to putting the 10.5" DD coils on and trying to make it feel better balanced. I'm thinking of trying this but in the meantime have tried reversing the S bend downward instead of upward and this seems to help. Anybody try this and what did you think.
