Not very deep if you have the sensitivity bumped up
to high.

It's just like driving you car with the head lights on high
beam.

You need to go and sign up @ www.mlotv.com and get
you an account there then in the search engine type in
X-terra 70 and watch the 2 videos Des Dunnes did on
this machine.

Also goto www.youtube.com and watch the video series
on the Whites XLT machine, Jimmy Sierra & Randy
tell about this scenario of having the sensitivity set to
high, you have to find the happy medium...not to high
or not to low, just enough to knock out the ground mineralization.

I rarely run my sensitivity above 24 and it is not bump sensitive. I regularly dig coins at 10+ inches

Fmerg,
I have pulled a token at over 9" with a 6" HF coil in the woods. The majority of my hunting is in the woods which means constant bumping without it falsing.

Makton, I use the same coil (when not using the stock one). What settings are you running?

It seems to me the sensitivity doesn't gain depth higher than 26.. Higher than that it becomes more "sensitive" to smaller items.. Same with my whites M6 past, 70 and up, no more depth but smaller objects are picked up..

Casul,
I usually run in AM mode, 4 tones. The day I found that token I had the sens cranked up to 30 as it was clean ground with no hits at all for 20 minutes
After I found the token I started to get some iron hits(square nails and such) and lowered down to 24 before I found a 23 Merc and 1913 Buffalo. http://forum.treasurenet.com/index.php/topic,249004.0.html

Thanks for the info, Makton. I think the areas I've been hunting are just too junky (is that a word?). I need to find some woods areas like some of you other guys, so that I am not overwhelmed by all the signals.
