I hit a yard sale yesterday and on a table in the garage was this old transistor radio. It has a small Swiss movement manual wind clock and a flashlight. I asked the guy how much? ... He just said, you know I plugged it in with the flip out prongs on the back and all it did was make static, so with that you can just have it. You gotta unscrew the back to get to the batteries and inside were two severely leaking AA batteries. I got em out and cleaned things up, put in some fresh batteries and Wala! it works. I've got a newer transistor radio and the AM doesn't pull in a signal worth a dang. This one reaches out really well. It's not worth a lot, but in 1963 this was the cat's meow in hi-tech portable devices and the clock and flashlight work perfect.

Nice grab. I remember my mom and dad always having a transistor radio in the house. Of course its easy to remember, because I was born in '63.

It might not be worth a lot, but you can't beat the price.

I hate to the grammar police guy, but it should be Voila!, not Wala!
