Morning,
Was going through some of my junk and ran across this piece of golden palm wood. Its part of a point, though broken. Many points have been found around the area made of this material. Palm wood comes in many colors, but the agatized yellow is to me about the prettiest. A friend found a 5" tang knife made of this. The dots on the stone are what is left of the vascular structure in the wood...pores, or veins if you will. When this stuff is slabbed and polished it is gorgeous.
