It was a surprise for sure because I walk this trail quite often and keep it mowed. The earlier rain showers must have washed the dirt off.

Maybe theres a cache washing out of a hillside. Very common in my parts. BTW nice score!

Almost guaranteed. This old farm has been here since the early 1890’s. I’m going to look for a cheap metal detector.

Yeah there is all kinds of reasonable priced detectors out there today. I'm not sure what to even reccomend there are soo many companies to pick from.
