Yesterday’s find. Found on my hiking trail at my house laying right on top of the dirt after a fresh rain.

OPPS Welcome to Treasurenet !!

Best cheap Detector in my opinion is Nokta Makro Simplex, runs about $250-300 depending on where you get it. I think theres some suppliers on here who have it for 250.00 free shipping (at least they did several months ago). https://www.noktadetectors.com/metal-detector/simplex-metal-detector/

It literally has more features than my old Garrett AT Pro i paid $600 for several years ago.

Nice score on the barber!

Almost guaranteed. This old farm has been here since the early 1890’s. I’m going to look for a cheap metal detector.
Hope you do realize that if you purchase a metal detector, your life will be altered by the best thing since sliced bread.
Nice 👁 🥎 find on the Barber Half 👏

Thank you so much for the information. I am totally clueless on metal detectors. Figured I would start with a used one. I’ll be looking for a Nokta.

Used to be that was the way to go, but you'd pay more for a used lesser machine tham the Simplex. Bang for the buck has never been so affordable.

Not just a 1900 Barber....Not just a 1900 Barber half dollar...But a 1900 Barber half dollar with an "O" mint mark. That is Faaaaaantastic! I'm with everyone else...I would scour that area with a detector. You just may find a few more ( maybe many more)old beautiful silver coins. Big congrats DDL!

Thank you very much silvermonkey.

Thank you coinstar. I’m going to search for a metal detector.
There are lots of great machines out there. The first one I bought was a Simplex. Found a ton of stuff and learned a lot. I have since upgraded to the Legend, still learning. Have fun on your adventure.
