Wen't back to the spot where I found the large cent the day before and didn't do as well...some clad,two wheaties right next to each other,a pocket knife,a matchbox car,and some spent lead....

Hempstead Lake State Park on the Island is a good place, Also Fulton school on Fulton Avenue baseball field, Circus was across street from West End Tavern near train stop, I am far away from West Hempstead L.I. I lost old dimes there {silver}. good luck! I found musket ball at St. Pauls Rd.So. from rain fall, On Halloween neighbors threw pennies in front of homes instead of candy! DDonuts is probably still on corner, I saw it built in 1957. The White Castile nearby sold great burgers for 12 cents. Also Kennedy Park. Bread was 5 cents a loaf with S&H green stamps at A&P.
